This sitting room design concept was created as part of an e-design project for a client based near Staffordshire. The goal was to craft a space that feels grounded and inviting while maintaining an elevated, timeless appeal.
The sourcing board reflects a rich layering of texture and tone — from warm timber finishes to veined marble surfaces that introduce organic movement. A palette of soft greys, taupes, and deep espresso browns anchors the design, while touches of brushed brass and hammered metal add warmth and sophistication.
Textiles were selected for their comfort and tactility, featuring subtle patterns, woven detailing, and geometric motifs that bring personality without overpowering the calm aesthetic. Together, these materials create a cohesive and elegant look, perfect for relaxed everyday living with a touch of understated luxury.
